So.. as some may know.. I used to work for a candy store.. before the economy took a royal shit. Afterwards, the candy store's sales plummeted (because the dip-wads didn't realise that no one's gonna by $25/lb chocolate in a recession) and I was laid off.
And now I has no money. No money. No food. "BUT WAIT! AREN'T YOU SEVENTEEN!? WHY AREN'T YOUR PARENTS BUYING FOOD?!"
They do.. just insanely gross health food that's not real food but food-substitute. Gah. So I worry I won't be gaining as fast as I'd like for a while.. unless I mystically find money.
Despite this lack of funds, however.. I'm a lot happier overall with my life. I used to suffer from depression when I lived with my mother.. but after I came out.. and after I moved out of her house and realised a lot about myself.. I'm very content.. I've found a good bunch of people.. some of which are gainers.. I realised who my friends truly are.. and how to stand up for myself.. I don't take things so seriously nor do I take things to heart all the time..
*sigh* But if only I could defeat this relentless metabolism. Now *that* would be awesome.

It's ok Tony. We all hate this damn economy right now.
ReplyDeleteF***, California is getting the shaft with 10%+ unemployment and then to make things worse I've heard rumors about CA getting a pet tax.
...
A F***ING PET TAX?
HOLY F***!
As if the US couldn't get any worse they are gonna start taxing us for pets!?
Watch CA isn't gonna be the last. It will spread like a F***ING VIRUS!
Anyways, hope that Wi, isn't taking it as badly. Just hope there are other jobs open up avaliability for hiring. :\
Great to hear that you're happy with life and have go some good, true people round you. You're more content, so I hope maybe more confident too?
ReplyDeleteThe metabolism will probably be self-defeating one day, but until then, just hammer away at it as much as you can!
(And to help a little, check the food fund!)
@ Justin: Wisconsin's only at around.. 6.5% right now and we're doing fairly well despite that.. >_< It's just the people in charge of my old place of employment fail.
ReplyDelete@ Simon: I saw that this morning! And thanks a loot.. haha.. glad to know someone is supportive. =]
Oh.. by the way, Simon.. tell me what you'd like in return. =]
